Too much freetime-aka blogging 101

So as of yesterday, Hungary has a new constitution. Well..almost..as my brilliant leaders put it, it’s only a frame that yet needs to be filled. But they were in such a rush to draft it. They’ve only been on power for a couple of months but they already managed to eliminate the freedom of the press/media, solidify their position for the next 20 or more years, fill the parliament with their people, bully people into leaving private pension funds and make them join the State’s pension fund, ergo getting a hold of that money, which is billions of my currency. They claim everyone will have a pension to rely on when they retire, but I highly doubt it. Those who decided to stick with their private fund are still forced to pay the state pension. Because that’s how democracy works, right? You are free to do what you want so long as it matches what the state wants.

Also, we’re no longer the Republic of Hungary, we’re just Hungary. Soon we’ll be the Dictatorship of Hungary..or just a good ole Monarchy. Just to show what geniuses they really are: they signed the new constitution but forgot to retire the old one. So now we have two! Wonder if we’ll get to chose which one we’ll live by:)

They are also busy renaming every major areas, streets, squares that, they claim, remind them of old regime. One square is now call Pop Jean-Paul II…no comment.. Apart form that they managed to cut existing pensions. Because, you know, they elderly who worked hard all their life, and are now retired will have no problem getting by with prices that keep hiking every minute. They important thing is that there’s enough money to preserve our cultural values, be proud of being Hungarian, preserve the purity of the race and-wait a minute..why does this sound so familiar? Oh, right!

Certain ethnicities are being openly persecuted, intimidated and slaughtered by extreme right wing organizations. Not that the government really cares. They may give it a quick head shake, say it’s not nice to bully, but I bet secretly they could not be happier. At least that’s taken care of for them!

Our President is a complete idiot! A friggin puppet who got the job because the PM knew he’s sign anything into law that’s put on his desk. He was an olympic fencer, for God’s sake! How does that qualify you for the job?!? He’s got embarrassingly bad grammar, messes up famous speeches and you can tell whatever he says is scripted and recited. Sounds familiar, anyone?

They can do all this because they won 2/3 of the votes at the election, which gives them the power to do virtually anything they want. And they take full advantage of it, while saying they are only fulfilling the people’s wishes, that it’s really us, who want all the horrible things they are doing. Some still buy into this bullcrap! They will slowly but surely destroy the country. All because of greed and hunger for power. The PM’s nick is Hitler Jr. Nuf said.

They claim the woman has an obligation to bear children and would tax women who are childless. The reason doesn’t matter. Can’t afford to raise a kid, single mother, still at school…etc One even said about women who cannot bear children that it’s their own fault and there should be ways, they should still pay. Of course, he’s a man. Because as always, men know a lot better what goes on in a woman’s body.

It really saddens me. I used to love my country, now I’m embarrassed of it. I feel that this kind of radical behavior has no place in the 21st Century. We came way to far for some idiots to just arbitrarily start going backwards. They used people’s desperation and disgust with the previous leaders to make a whole bunch of empty promises that eventually earned them the 2/3 majority. And people still don’t do anything about it. I cannot believe no one recognizes how bad it is! There are 10 million people living there, even if half got together they could impeach the bastards.

This little joke sums things up the best.

Two guys walk up to a girl. One of them says:
